NMOGA May Newsletter: Energizing New Mexico!

07 May, 2025

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week from NMOGA! Educators are the backbone of our state, and we are grateful for the dedication, patience, and love New Mexico teachers give to our students.

From career readiness to students in need, NMOGA and our member companies are energizing education and supporting the invaluable work of our state's teachers.

If you don't already follow NMOGA on social media, make sure to check out our pages on Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn. In addition to sharing how the oil and gas industry strengthens education and other state programs, we highlight the important role our industry plays in the economy and show how our member companies are supporting innovation to be the best environmental stewards possible.

Teacher Appreciation Week

NMOGA Celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week

Education is the foundation of strong and thriving communities, and NMOGA is deeply committed to supporting students, teachers, and schools across the state.

New Mexico’s oil and gas industry plays a vital role in funding education. Our industry contributes billions of dollars through state revenues to public schools, higher education institutions, and scholarships. Beyond financial support, NMOGA and Powering New Mexico’s Future, our partner organization, actively partner with educators and organizations to enhance educational opportunities.

This Teacher Appreciation Week, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the educators who inspire, challenge, and uplift our students. Their dedication makes all the difference, and we’re honored to play a part in building a brighter future alongside them!

El Palacio Magazine Features Hall of Ancient Life Exhibit Funded by NMOGA Foundation

Earlier this year, the Hall of Ancient Life at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science opened, showcasing more than 500 million years of geologic and fossil history in New Mexico. Many fossils in the exhibit are from the Permian Period—the era that gave the Permian Basin its name, now one of the world’s most prolific oil and gas regions.

The exhibit was recently featured in El Palacio magazine, sharing an in-depth look at the fossils, science, and stories behind the exhibit. 👉 Read More

We're so happy to see this project come to life and are proud to have helped make this exhibit possible through a grant from NMOGA’s foundation, Energizing Our Future NM.
