Harvesting Gratitude: A Holiday Thank You to New Mexico's Oil and Gas Workforce

 

As 2024 comes to a close, I want to extend my sincerest thanks to all of the hardworking men and women in New Mexico's oil and gas industry. Your dedication and tireless efforts are the driving force behind our state's economic prosperity and energy security. This year brought both challenges and triumphs, and through it all, your commitment to powering our communities never wavered.

Thank you for all that you do. Wishing you and your families a wonderful holiday season and a happy New Year.

 


Year In Review

Through the year Energizing our Future New Mexico awarded over $150,000 in grants to 13 nonprofits throughout the state. The nonprofits' work will encourage continued quality of life improvements in education, workforce development, and more. NMOGA is proud to partner with these nonprofits and celebrate them throughout 2025.

March

Hoops For Hope - NMOGA's coverage on the legislator basketball fundraiser.

May

Benji Backer, author of The Conservative Environmentalist, kicked off our Power Hour Speaker series.

NMOGA shows appreciation for all New Mexico teachers.

June

The launch of our Basin Strong campaign highlighting the stories of those that make these regions special. 

We went to Artesia to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Illinois #3, the first commercial oil well in New Mexico, and the people impacted by the birth of the industry.

Congratulations to the Artesia Chamber of Commerce, Artesia MainStreet, the City of Artesia and Eddy County on a very successful 100 Year Celebration.

August

2024 Ultimate Backpack Giveaway — NMOGA awarded five lucky New Mexico students with a new backpack equipped with: a new iPad, Air Pods, school supplies, as well as a celebratory pizza party with classmates.

We also reported directly from the Roundhouse on the Special Session.

October

NMOGA helped to elevate important charities doing work after the severe flooding in Roswell and surrounding communities. 

December

NMOGA sponsored a local golf event that raised $11,000 for the United Way Of Eddy County supporting their 211 services.

 


 

Thank you to our companies for all their philanthropic and volunteer work. NMOGA member companies' employees are proud to live, work and play in our great state and give back to our communities.

As we turn the page to 2025, let's carry forward the lessons learned, celebrate the victories achieved, and embrace the opportunities that lie ahead.
